We are multi-faceted, creative beings with many interests, so we are in various stages of creation at all times. Since expected outcomes or creations only become possible when they begin with goals, there is great value in taking time to set clear goals that are meaningful to you. This can take some effort to do, but it is part of the conscious creation process, and if you are committed to success in your life, thoughtful goals are a must.
Goals are structural blueprints you build upon to bring your creations into form. They chart a trajectory for success. Goals serve as inspiration when you need a nudge, and they are the guardrails that keep you on track as you progress.
You can apply many techniques to setting effective goals, but one way to take your goal setting practice to the next level, whatever it happens to be, is to consider your soul purpose. Whether you are consciously aware of it or not, your soul has a plan for you, and if the worldly goals you have expressed cross your soul purpose, those worldly plans will likely either not come to fruition, or they will come to pass at a great cost.
When your ego arm wrestles with your soul, your soul will not submit. It might be a long, drawn-out wrestling match that generates great pain for your ego, but just remember, in the end, your soul always wins. When you invite your soul to guide you through your goal setting process and you incorporate an awareness of your higher purpose, you set yourself up to achieve heightened success with fewer roadblocks.
For example: If your soul has planned for you to serve and assist others but your worldly goal is to make a million dollars, you may consider incorporating a soul supporting element into the expression of your worldly goal. Let your soul know that you plan to create a successful business and use the spoils of your success to help those who are less fortunate. The goal of making a million dollars in this case now supports your soul growth and purpose as well as your worldly desires. The conflict has been neutralized.
The best way to get acquainted with your soul purpose, so you know how to express goals that support your soul mission, is to spend some time alone with your inner self. Meditate or sit in solitude for even just a few minutes a day with the intent to know your higher purpose. Soul searching will heighten your sensitivities and acquaint you with your purpose, elevating your ability to “create” in this material world with greater ease.
