The Beyond Van Gogh art experience has captivated the globe as a traveling, truly immersive experience highlighting the iconic prints and images made famous by esteemed artist Vincent van Gogh. This exciting exhibition will be coming to The Forum at Empire Polo Club in Indio on September 30 through November 27.
The Beyond Van Gogh exhibition aims to show the artist’s work in a new light, using digital technology to transform the pieces, featuring projections of 300 artworks by Van Gogh such as “The Starry Night,” “Sunflowers,” and “Café Terrace at Night.”
While other shows use virtual reality or still images, the show breaks barriers by incorporating both still and moving art. Masterpieces, now freed from frames, come alive, appear, and disappear, flow across multi-surfaces, revealing new details in a three-dimensional landscape that captivates the senses. As guests enter each space, the show is projected on every surface around them, making you feel as though you have stepped directly into a Van Gogh painting. The Beyond Van Gogh art experience is accompanied with a beautiful musical score to heighten the visceral exhibition.
Created by French-Canadian creative director Mathieu St-Arnaud and his team at Montreal’s Normal Studio, Beyond Van Gogh is an immersive experience showcasing over 300 of the artist’s works. Through the use of cutting-edge projection technology and an original score, Beyond Van Gogh is a can’t-miss walk through iconic pieces of art. Occupying over 30,000 square feet, Beyond Van Gogh is the largest immersive experience in the country, offering guests ample room to safely enjoy the exhibit. Comprised of over 4 trillion content pixels, this high-resolution portrayal of Van Gogh’s work gives guests the opportunity to become one with his paintings.
“I’m really looking forward to visiting the Beyond Van Gogh experience because I have seen pictures of it as it traveled across the country. I love that locals will get a chance to see something like this because it is unlike anything we have in the desert,” shared La Quinta resident Saige Matthews.
