Presented by Palm Desert, Thursdays in October

The City of Palm Desert is pleased to announce the continuation of their popular evening outdoor concert series under the stars at Civic Center Park amphitheater on Thursdays in October. The concerts feature a diverse range of talented performers and tribute bands designed to please music lovers of all ages and tastes. Held every Thursday evening from 6 pm to 7:30 pm, the public is welcome to bring chairs and picnic baskets, or enjoy delicious creations offered by food trucks parked by the amphitheater.

The series kicks off on Thursday, October 5, with “Classic Journey,” an amazing Journey tribute band featuring the legendary Franky Dee and a band that plays the iconic anthems and ballads that made Journey famous. The series continues on each Thursday with the following line-up:

  • October 12: The Mighty Untouchables

This award-winning band will get the crowd dancing with one-part feverish dance party and one-part stunning concert experience. Offering Top 40 Dance, Motown, Disco, Classic Rock and more.

  • October 19: Leanna & Miguel

Lauded by fans as the the modern-day Ricky & Lucy concert goers will enjoy this Congo sensation husband and wife duo featuring the genres of jazz, latin jazz, and more.

  • October 26: 80’s Ladies

The decadence of the 80’s is flowing with this tribute to the MTV generation. From rock to dance, New Wave to Top 40 hits, they’ll keep the energy pumping!

Concerts take place at Palm Desert Civic Center Park and attendees are encouraged to arrive early and bring blankets or lawn chairs to enjoy the shows. Food and beverage trucks are available one hour before each show. Alcoholic beverages and smoking are prohibited at Civic Center Park. A certified American Sign Language interpreter will sign every concert in the series. Guests who might benefit from that service are welcome to sit near the east side of the stage for best viewing.

The City extends its thanks to the Desert Recreation District and the Palm Desert Citizens on Patrol volunteers for their support of this year’s Fall Concert Series.
