Keedy’s Restaurant is alive and well. In fact, a new offspring is thriving in the Indio/LaQuinta area of the East Valley. Keedy’s started in Palm Desert in 1957 with a winning formula of great comfort food, attentive service and modest prices. Its popularity endured and attracts a wide variety of clientele from celebrities to hard-working people. Everyone can agree on great diner food and thick frosty shakes, sodas, freezes and malts.
The present owner, Sheri Chapman, decided it was time for a modern twist on the original Keedy’s. She envisioned a colorful bright environment with an amped up atmosphere while staying true to the “If it ain’t broke don’t fix it” foundation of the original. Spring 2023 saw the advent of Keedy,s 2.0.
Now you can order a bloody mary, a mimosa flight or one of many unique craft cocktails with your chicken fried steak, pancakes or eggs benedict. You can dine at the long counter, colorful booths or the expansive outdoor eating area. Plans are underway to expand hours to include a happy hour with drink specials and appetizers. The new bar area serves as a hub for interaction with patrons enjoying great food with their beverages.
The large outdoor eating area connects with the indoors for added space to enjoy the day’s favorite meal with friends and family.
Keedy’s has always been about family with generations attending as a family ritual. Pull up a chair and chat with your friendly server and prepare to enjoy the Keddy’s experience you can always count on.
